Day 5 of the Youth Gathering: We were up bright and early to go to the Smoothie King Center to serve communion for closing worship. We ate lunch and are headed home. And the BIG announcement….2027 Minneapolis!!!

Day 4 of the Youth Gathering. We slept a little later and went for a wonderful breakfast. Spent the day hanging out in the Interactive Center learning about the partners of the church and having fun playing with our new friends. We ended the night at our last mass gathering with a concert from Blanca. Bishop Eaton was shooting Tshirts into the crowd.

Gathering Day 3: BEST day yet!!! We began with our Region 4 workshop. Almost 1400 kids gathered in one ballroom to worship. The music from the Nebraska synod was so good. We had fun with our scavenger hunt of New Orleans. Even the rain couldn’t stop us from finishing. The speakers at mass gathering tonight gave us all a lot to think about from different perspectives. Afterwards, we trained to serve communion at closing worship. We ended the night dancing with some of our new friends.

Youth Gathering Day 2: We began today in Accompaniment with the World Council of Churches talking about mental health issues in teens. We had lunch and then took a Riverboat Cruise on the Mississippi River. We ran into Pastor Andrew and his wife Catherine. We ended the night with speakers, worship and a concert from Blessing Offer.
