From being such an awesome leader at Vacation Bible School this past summer to helping hand out candy and spread the good news of Jesus every year at Rotterdam’s Fall Festival, there are so many ways that Pryor Zimmer serves Christ here in our Spirit filled congregation!

Congratulations, Pryor, on being Messiah Lutheran Church’s Minister of the Week!

In today’s first reading God uses the Gentile ruler Cyrus to accomplish divine purposes. When the Pharisees try to trap Jesus, he tells them to give the emperor what belongs to him and to God what belongs to God. To gather for worship reminds us that our ultimate allegiance is to God rather than to any earthly authority. Created in the image of God, we offer our entire selves in the service of God and for the sake of the world. We will celebrate Affirmation of Baptism for Patrick (Puck) Jordan! Pastor Dustin will preach and preside. Worship will begin with 15 minutes of music & meditation.

Our friends at New Breath Spirituality Center hosted such a wonderful fall retreat this weekend at the Saranam Center in the Catskills! Josh Peppin, Vicar Grace Fay and Pastor Dustin attended and had such a meaningful experience.

Retreats are important way at Messiah that we reconnect with God, ourselves and one another as we work to make a difference in God’s world!

Join us on January 15th - 18th for a Winter Retreat at Camp Calumet in New Hampshire and on May 14th - 16th back with New Breath at Camp Fowler in the Adirondacks as we continue building Spirit filled community together in Christ’s name!
