Are you looking for a place to find the Love of Jesus? Come and join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. We welcome you and invite you to come worship with us, and learn about the love of God. Hear what God has for you.
• We gather to sing and pray, and learn together. We offer a place for reflection and peace. We welcome all people: those who feel full of faith and hope and those who struggle to
believe, those who have been to church often and those who have never been.
• We welcome those who know well that they are loved by God, and those who can’t yet believe such love is possible.
• We welcome those who need a place to be for a time and those who are looking for a place to belong longer term.
• We all need a place to go after the worst happens, and people who when hearing our best news will multiply our joy. You are invited, and welcome here at Christ’s Church of the Hills. History of our Church
On January 1, 1972, the Florida, Mariaville, and Princetown Presbyterian Churches combined to become Christ's Church of the Hills. The church is on Route 159, approximately 6 miles west of Rotterdam's Five Corners. As a remembrance of the three churches, we have a bell from each that is frequently rung at the beginning of services. Our Mission
As we seek to fulfill the needs of our church, we can take inspiration from the hymn, "Called as Partners in Christ’s Service". Our church’s demographics behoove us to develop "new patterns for Christ’s mission", and "blend human skills together" so that we may "bring new power and strength for action" both locally and globally. Let us support, with prayers and with action, the Session, Deacons and Trustees as they take on the challenge of "Christ’s clear call to work" for our Church. Responding to God's call, we center our mission on serving families. We work to build a welcoming community from which we serve our area together. We participate in Junction Ecumenical Ministries to offer food baskets to folks at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We give food donations to the Food Bank at the Woestina Reformed Church, and contributions to City Mission. We maintain a vegetable garden, and share the produce with the members of the community in addition to church members. Donations are also made to the Woestina Food Bank as above. We also have a blessing box outside of our church to provide food items for anyone in our community who is in need. In the summer, garden items are also available for those using the blessing box. Services
We have resumed our weekly services, held every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. We encourage those who are comfortable to join us. Face masks are welcome but not required to attend services. We do continue to encourage social distancing and do not have our traditional coffee hour after the service. As usual If you are feeling ill, have a fever, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 we expect you will stay home for the safety of others. Special services for Maundy Thursday and Christmas Eve are held at 7:00 pm. We are located at 4809 Mariaville Road near the intersection of Rynex Corners Road and Putnam Road.
