Please come to St. David's this evening at 5:30 to share in a special Maundy Thursday Service for families with young and school-age children!

This informal 45-minute ish service remembers and reenacts Jesus' Last Supper with his friends. Come as you are!

We will sit picnic-style on quilts, snack on the foods Jesus ate, share in the fellowship of foot washing, and celebrate Holy Communion.

We will gather in Grace Hall at 5:30 p.m. If you enter through the front doors of the church, Grace Hall is on your left!

Come early and run around the playground!
• Fun fact-the word, "Maundy" comes from the Latin word, mandatum, which means command.
Jesus gives a "New Commandment" to his followers, to love and serve others, just as he loved and served them.

Jesus gives us that commandment too! We agree to serve other people when we love and follow Jesus.
We love and serve, because Jesus first loved us. Thank goodness! 🙂

St. David's Family Ministry invites parish, Preschool, and friends to join in a fun Drive Through "parade" in celebration of Shrove Tuesday(Pancake Day! Fat Tuesday!) and in support of North Fulton Community Charities! (NFCC)

When: Tuesday February 16th 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.

Where: St. David's front parking lot!

What: Dress in a silly costume if you like and join a parade of cars around St. David’s parking lot. Mask up and roll down your car window as you drive through the 4 fun "parade stations"!

You'll be greeted at each station by St. David's staff, clergy, and wonderful parish and preschool volunteers as they hand out treat bags, and other special take home gifts for Lent.

What else: Shrove Tuesday is a day to party and to prepare for Lent! Some people clean out their cupboards of all the sweets (like pancakes!) so that they can fast during Lent.

Lent is a 40 days season of getting ready before Easter to prepare our hearts through prayer, service, and loving God and our neighbor in new ways!

We reach out our hands both to receive and to give!

How you can help: Bring a donation for NFCC's food pantry on Tuesday! Needed items include regular size containers of: ketchup, mustard, other condiments, 100% real fruit juice jars or boxes, and shampoo!

St. David's will be collecting donations throughout Lent! After Tuesday, you can leave your donations in the bin at the front porch of the church! Thank you!

We hope you can join in the fun and helping! Questions? Contact Judy Hine, Director of Children's Ministry, [email protected].
