In a few weeks the OCF Boston District will have its first day event! On Saturday, November 16th, from 10am-4pm we will engage in a YES College Day in the community of Cambridge, MA.
YES College Day is a single day of service-learning designed to expose college students to the reality of poverty and other issues that exist in our own communities.
Through participating in a day of engaging service projects, the message of love and solidarity will be spread, stereotypes will be broken down, and students will discover that all people are connected through Christ.
This District event is not only a great opportunity to engage in service and expand our horizons, but it also allows us to reunite with old friends and make new ones from other schools in the district. As student, clergy, and lay leaders of your respective chapters, you have a unique opportunity not only to benefit personally from attending this event, but also to lead others into a transformative experience and new relationships in the Church.
The event will take place at St. Mary's Orthodox Christian Church located at 8 Inman St, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02139, United States and costs $15 to participate. Please let me know if you or those in your chapters need assistance with transportation to/from the event.
