The Mother’s Day Out program was a ministry of First Baptist Rosenberg from 1977 until 2024. When First Baptist Rosenberg made the decision to sell our church property, the MDO program relocated to Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg. While the program is in a new location and has a new name, the primary focus remains the same - providing toddlers and preschoolers with educational, developmental, and social experiences in a fun, Christian atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day Out program, we encourage you to visit our website at https://firststepsmdo.org/. Please review the registration packet, then contact us to schedule an in-person tour. We are currently focused on registration for September 2026. Applications are accepted year-round, as long as we have openings based on the teacher/child ratio.
First Steps is a Christian-based academic Mother’s Day Out program for ages 18 months to Pre-K. Our program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, following the Lamar CISD school schedule from September thru May.
