Stop Chasing Blessings. Start Here.

You worry about money.

You stress about bills.

You pray for open doors.

Yet Jesus gave one clear order:

“Seek first the Kingdom.”

Not second.

Not when you retire.

First.

Most people miss this because they do not understand what “seek” means.

Seek means:

🔎 Pursue it
📖 Study it
🧠 Understand it
🗺️ Explore it
💭 Think about it daily
🔥 Desire to know it

You do not stumble into the Kingdom.

You pursue it with focus.

Jesus said something direct:

When you hear the message of the Kingdom and do not understand it, the enemy comes to sn**ch it away.

Not when you ignore church.

Not when you skip prayer.

When you fail to understand.

Why?

Because nothing is yours until you understand it.

You can sit in services for years.

You can read verses every week.

You can nod your head and say amen.

But until you say, “I get it,” nothing changes.

There are four types of people in every room:

🪨 The distracted
🌱 The shallow
🌾 The choked by worries
🌳 The prepared and ready

Only one group produces results.

Which one are you?

Jesus made a promise in Matthew 6:33:

Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Added.

Not chased.

Not forced.

Added.

Food. Clothing. Provision. Stability.

You seek.

He adds.

When I started putting Kingdom thinking first in daily life, things shifted.

I stopped asking, “How do I fix this?”

I started asking, “How does the Kingdom handle this?”

Work decisions changed.

Relationships changed.

Money habits changed.

Stress dropped.

Focus increased.

The Kingdom became my priority.

And when you make God’s priority your priority, you stop guessing about your future.

You stop living anxious.

You stop chasing what He already promised to add.

So ask yourself:

What is first in your life right now?

Your job?

Your business?

Your image?

Or the Kingdom?

You seek.

He adds.

Kingdom first.

Stop chasing blessings. Start chasing this.

Most believers work hard for things.

Jesus never told you to.

He said:

Seek first the Kingdom of God.

Not money.
Not houses.
Not food.
Not even miracles.

The Kingdom.

Here’s the shift no one taught us in church:

Christianity became a religion.
Jesus preached a Kingdom.

Religion gives you rituals.
The Kingdom gives you citizenship.

Religion makes you a member.
The Kingdom makes you a citizen.

Members attend.
Citizens have rights.

Think about your prayers this week.

Were you asking for:

• 💰 Money
• 🚗 A car
• 🏠 A house
• 🩺 Healing
• 📈 Business growth

Jesus said pagans run after those things.

Strong words.

He said your Father already knows what you need.

So what should you focus on?

• 👑 The governing influence of Heaven in your life
• 📖 Right standing with God
• 🧭 Obedience to His will
• 🔥 Hunger for righteousness

That’s it.

When I shifted from chasing blessings to pursuing the Kingdom, something changed.

I stopped begging for provision.

I started trusting the King.

Stress dropped.
Fear dropped.
Pressure dropped.

Why?

Because in a kingdom, the King provides for citizens.

In a democracy, you provide for yourself.

Which system are you living under?

Jesus opened His ministry with one word:

Repent.

Change how you think.

You do not enter the Kingdom by church attendance.

You enter by childlike trust.

A child:

• 👶 Depends fully
• 🤝 Trusts completely
• 🗣 Speaks boldly
• 🎯 Expects promises to happen

When my daughter was young, she never asked if I had money before requesting something.

She assumed I would handle it.

That is Kingdom thinking.

You are not called to stress over survival.

You are called to represent Heaven on earth.

Seek the Kingdom.
Align with the King.
Live in right standing.

Then watch what starts seeking you.

What would change in your life if you stopped chasing things and started pursuing the King instead?

Stop Begging. Start Petitioning.

Most people treat prayer like a wish.

Talk. Hope. Wait.

Then wonder why nothing changes.

Here’s the shift:

Prayer is not begging.

Prayer is giving heaven permission to move on earth.

Dr. Myles Munroe taught this clearly.

• 🙏 Prayer is a petition to a King
• 📜 A petition requires law and rights
• 🧾 You present what was promised
• 🗣️ You announce it with faith

No government responds to emotion.

It responds to law.

Same with God.

Jesus did not say “if you pray.”

He said “when you pray.”

He prayed for hours before sunrise.

Then healed in seconds.

Think about that.

More time with God.
Less time wrestling with problems.

You say you want change in:

• 👨‍👩‍👧 Your family
• 💼 Your business
• 🏥 Your health
• 🌍 Your nation

Yet prayer is the smallest meeting in most churches.

Why?

No results.

If you put coins in a machine and nothing drops, you stop trying.

Many treat prayer the same way.

The issue is not prayer.

The issue is understanding.

Prayer is earthly license for heavenly interference.

God gave humans dominion on earth.

That means He works through people.

If my people…

That word “if” is a condition.

If they humble themselves.
If they pray.
If they seek.
If they turn.

Then He moves.

When you stop praying, heaven stops invading.

When you speak His Word over your situation, you authorize action.

Jesus said:

Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven.
Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Power is His.

Permission is yours.

And fasting?

Fasting sharpens your authority.

• 🔥 It disciplines your body
• 🧠 It clears your thinking
• 💪 It increases boldness
• 👀 It heightens spiritual awareness

Jesus fasted 40 days.

After fasting, temptation came.

Then power flowed.

Some problems respond to prayer.

Some break only through prayer and fasting.

Look at your life.

What has stayed stuck?

What cycle keeps repeating?

What door never opens?

Have you been begging?

Or petitioning with authority?

This week, try this:

Open your Bible.
Find a promise.
Speak it back to God.
Declare it over your situation.

Not performance.

Not long speeches.

Clear petitions.

Direct requests.

Faith-filled words.

You have the body.

He has the power.

Will you give permission?

Prayer is not what you think.

Most people treat prayer like a ritual.

Say some words.
Hope something shifts.
Walk away unchanged.

But here’s the truth:

Prayer is not a religious act.

It is a legal act.

Dr. Myles Munroe taught this clearly.

Prayer is giving Heaven permission to act on Earth.

No permission.
No interference.

“If my people…”

That word if is a condition.

God ties action on Earth to human cooperation.

Read that again.

You hold the license.

⛔ Stop praying like you beg.
📖 Start praying like you know your rights.
🗣️ Stop performing for people.
🚪 Start speaking God’s Word into situations.

Jesus prayed for hours.

Then healed in seconds.

The disciples noticed the pattern.

They did not ask, “Teach us to heal.”

They asked, “Teach us to pray.”

Why?

Because they saw the connection.

More time with God.
Less struggle with problems.

Think about your life.

- That business issue.
- That court case.
- That child drifting.
- That habit you keep repeating.

Have you been talking about it more than you pray about it?

Prayer is not long speeches.

Jesus said do not babble.

Bring the Word.
State the promise.
Declare it.

It is like entering a courtroom.

You present the law.
You expect a ruling.

Fasting strengthens this process.

Fasting is not dieting.

It is pushing aside natural pleasure for spiritual focus.

🍽️ You deny the body.
📖 You feed the spirit.
🔥 You sharpen your authority.

When Jesus faced certain demons, He said:

“This kind does not leave except by prayer and fasting.”

Some battles respond to casual prayer.

Some demand consecration.

You say you want change in your home.

Have you set aside time?
Have you turned off distractions?
Have you humbled yourself?

Prayer meetings stay small because people see no results.

Results change hunger.

When you see answers, you pray more.

Here is the shift:

Stop asking God to move without giving Him access.

Open the door.

Speak His Word over your week.

“Open every door with my name on it.”

Close what needs closing.

Some of you left things open.

Unforgiveness.
Wrong relationships.
Old habits.

He has the power.

You hold the permission.

So here is the question:

What in your life is waiting for your prayer license?

Tonight, stop performing.

Close the door.
Open your Bible.
Speak the promise.
Give Heaven access.

Then watch what shifts.
