The Fourth Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve Service! We step into the 2000’s this week with a birch tree with attached LED lights; the 2000’s offered a more personalized approach to decor while tying in traditional aspects. The beautiful luminaries outside of the church tonight showed how light and darkness can intertwine and make something beautiful. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Hello there! We are current members of the First Presbyterian Church of Roselle and we are asking for your help! Founded in 1868, the Church (or First Pres for short) has been serving the community in any way we can and trying to remain a peaceful place to meet with God in worship and prayer. In 1888, we became the first Church in the world to have an Electrolier lighting fixture inside the building, (and the first public building to be Lit by Thomas Edison,) leading to our motto "First in Light." This chandelier remains in use today and is a loving reminder of how God has blessed us and given us more gifts than we can ever thank Him for! We have remained open and serving the community even in the face of adversity, including a fire in 1949 that caused a significant portion of the building to need rebuilding, and of course, the Pandemic in 2020 that saw us moving to virtual worship. We currently host several churches that use our grounds and facilities to lead their worship services on Sundays and throughout the week, and we are the home of the Roselle Day Care Center as well!
Our rich history is a blessing to share with any who may need it, but we need your help! We have not been immune to the damages of time and we need to replace a significant portion of our roof. This has always been a costly undertaking but is made worse by the inflated current costs of building materials. If you are able, we would welcome and greatly appreciate any and all help you can give as we remain open and operating to share God's love and message and to continue serving our community as we have for over 150 years. Thank you!
