Today Pastor Phil continues in the "trilogy" formed around Psalms 22-24 in which Jesus is prophesied about by King David. Today we continue in perhaps one of the most beloved of psalms — Psalm 23. Let's join Pastor Phil for Part 4 from Psalm 23 entitled, "The Great Shepherd". We are in the second part of verse 2 "He leads me beside the still waters."

Today he covers the verse "He makes us to lie in green pastures", as illustrated through the life of a Shepherd and His sheep.

The Book of Psalms expresses worship—in fact Psalms translates as ‘a song’. Throughout its many pages, Psalms encourages its readers to praise God for who He is and what He has done.

Psalms serves as a songbook, prayer book, and a guide for understanding God's character and attributes, His faithfulness and help in time of troubles, the nature of faith, and a reminder of the absolute centrality of His Word. We also see innumerable verses that point to Jesus, the Messiah.
