Members of ICB - New Jersey Disciples attended an exhilarating and inspiring Ignite Men’s Conference in Lynchburg, VA.

John Wayne Walding (A Green Beret) spoke about trusting God and challenged us to ask ourselves, “What is keeping me from being great?”

Jon Gordon said, “Goals will not take you to where you want to go. It’s your commitment.”

Terry McLauri, Washington Commander WR, encouraged us to share our testimony.

Dr. Rick Rigsby spoke of “How can we become a greater man of God?”

Tony Dungy, NFL Hall of Fame Coach, shared an inspiring testimony. Closing with “Be excellent and put the Lord first.”

Michael O’Brien lead a wonderful worship service.

We are looking forward to next year’s Ignite Conference.

Broreavement founders Daniel Ratchford and Quaheem Brooks hosted a Men’s Health event entitled “Art Expression”. In honor of Black History Month, LaVell Finerson spoke of the African symbolism of “The Shield”. Followed with Art Director Joel “YOBE” Beleno leading a group of men in artistically expressing The Shields that we use.

The New Jersey Disciples showed up and showed out, on the coolest day of the year, to support Brother Cleo Smalls for Sons of Allen Men's Ministry event entitled…The Huddle!!

The event took place on Saturday Feb 7th 2026 at Saint Luke AME Church in Harlem. Brother Cleo served as Guest Speaker charging Men’s Ministry to embrace our heritage. Additional speakers encouraged us to “Hold On” and to “never stop praying”.

Special thanks and gratitude to Brother LaVell Finerson for capturing the moment through his expert lens.

ICB Jersey Disciples kept the momentum going, riding high off the energy of the Grand Rising Kickoff Breakfast with a follow-up breakfast of our own on January 31 at Omega Diner.

This was our 1st NJD Community Meeting of 2026, centered on the theme: Goal Setting for 2026.

We were led through a hands-on goal-setting workshop by our sisters, who challenged us to “Straighten Up!” and get focused, disciplined, and intentional about the year ahead. Thank you Loni Mendez for the workshop and your 10-Day journal the we worked through to set our goals with clarity and purpose.

Faith. Fellowship. Forward motion.
2026 is already taking shape.

We were so full, that we almost forgot to post about the ICB Men’s Kickoff Breakfast – “Grand Rising!”

It was a powerful morning of fellowship and impactful messages from our leaders and guest speakers.

The ICB Jersey Disciples showed up, were filled with the Word, and yes, we filled our plates too! 🍽️📖

We marked the beginning of the year together, grounded in faith, alignment, and brotherhood. We were blessed to introduce new brothers from NJ to ICB.

The annual breakfast, hosted by the International Christian Brotherhood (ICB), set the tone for the year ahead.

Here’s to rising and sharpening together in purpose and power for 2026.
