The ant wars continue.

We put out ant poison a couple of times a year, but we need the community’s help. Please take some poison with you when you go to leave flowers. Treat the area around your family plot. This would help us try to keep the ant population down.

Also, remember March and April is when we collect dues.

It’s mowing season again. We ask for dues to be paid in March or April to help us with the upkeep of the cemetery.

We ask for a minimum of $25.00 per family but any amount is helpful.

We have had a good response the last 2 years to members responding with their dues. Just a reminder, the cemetery is a nonprofit organization. We are very thankful to everyone who contributes to the upkeep of our community cemetery.

ANNOUNCEMENT: PRICE INCREASE

At the last general membership meeting in 2024, the members voted for a price increase on cemetery plots. These increases were to take effect in stages with the first increase in 2025 and then again in 2026.

As of January 1, 2026, burial plots will cost $1,200.00. Cremation plots will cost $300.00.

The next general membership meeting will be held in November, 2026.

The eight stands with wreaths honor our military services: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, Merchant Marine, and POW’s.

If you can, visit the cemetery and see the wreaths at the flag pole and on the graves of our veterans. It is an inspiration.

Thank you to the American Legion for the ceremony for Wreaths Across America held on Saturday at the cemetery. The presentation reminded us to remember those who sacrificed so much for our country. The wreaths have been laid on the graves of our veterans. It is a beautiful remembrance.
