Resurrection Sunday

Scripture: Matthew 28:6

“He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.”

The tomb was empty. Jesus had risen, defeating sin and death once and for all. What began in sorrow was transformed into joy, and what seemed like defeat became victory. The resurrection is the foundation of our hope and the promise of new life in Christ.

Reflection Question: How does the reality of the resurrection shape the way I live today?

Holy Saturday

Scripture: Matthew 27:59–60

“Joseph took the body and wrapped it… and laid it in his own new tomb.”

Jesus lay in the tomb, and all seemed silent. Hope appeared lost, and the disciples were left in sorrow and confusion. Yet even in this silence, God was still at work. This day reminds us that God’s purposes are not always visible, but they are always certain.

Reflection Question: Where do I need to trust God, even when I cannot see what He is doing?

Friday (Good Friday)

Scripture: Isaiah 53:5

“He was pierced for our transgressions… and by His wounds we are healed.”

Jesus was arrested, tried, and crucified. On the cross, He bore the weight of sin and endured the judgment we deserved. What appeared to be a moment of defeat was actually the fulfillment of God’s plan for redemption. His sacrifice reveals both the seriousness of sin and the depth of God’s love.

Reflection Question: Take a moment today to consider the cost of the cross—and what it means for you personally.

Holy Thursday

Scripture: Luke 22:19

“This is My body, which is given for you…”

On this night, Jesus shared a final meal with His disciples. He washed their feet, showing humility and love, and established what we now remember as the Lord’s Supper. Even as betrayal and suffering approached, His focus was on serving others and pointing to the sacrifice He was about to make.

Reflection Question: How can I reflect Christ’s humility and love toward others?

Spy Wednesday

Scripture: Luke 22:3–4

“Then Satan entered into Judas… and he went away and conferred… how he might betray Him.”

The Gospels give little detail about this day, but behind the scenes, betrayal was taking shape. Judas agreed to hand Jesus over, setting in motion the events of the cross. It is a quiet but sobering reminder that even in silence, God’s plan is unfolding.

Reflection Question: Are there areas in my life where I am drifting or compromising quietly?

Holy Tuesday: Teaching & Truth
Scripture: Matthew 22:37–39 – “Love the Lord your God… and love your neighbor as yourself.”

Devotional: On this day, Jesus teaches about the heart of God’s law: love. His words challenge hypocrisy and call us to live with integrity and care for others.

Reflection Question: How can I open my heart to God’s truth and live it out in daily life?

Closing Line: Take a moment today to be open to God’s truth, even where it challenges you.

Closing Prayer: Lord, open our hearts to your truth and guide us away from hypocrisy.

Holy Monday: Cleansing the Temple
Scripture: John 2:15 – “He made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts.”

Devotional: Jesus reminds us that worship is sacred. He cleansed the temple because God’s house is to be a place of prayer, not distraction or selfish gain. Let us examine how we honor God in our own lives.

Reflection Question: What does true worship look like in my life today?

Closing Line: Take a moment today to consider what true worship looks like in your life.

Prayer: Lord, purify our worship and draw us to honor you with sincerity.

Palm Sunday

Scripture: John 12:13

“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Jesus entered Jerusalem to the praise of the crowds, who welcomed Him as King. Yet many expected a political deliverer, not a Savior who would suffer. Within days, those same voices would turn. This moment reminds us that Jesus came not just to meet expectations, but to fulfill God’s greater plan of redemption.

Reflection: Are we following Jesus for who He truly is, or for what we expect Him to be?

Holy Week
As we prepare to enter Holy Week, we also walk through the final week of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Beginning with His triumphant entry into Jerusalem and later to the cross, and finally to the empty tomb.

Each day of this week, we will pause and reflect on a specific time, along with a Scripture and thought to help us prepare our hearts.

My hope is that this week won’t just be about events we see, but something we experience as we reflect on the cross and the hope of the resurrection.
