I’ve invited my friend, Pastor Jeff Scott, to write some articles for us directly related to Christian parenting. This is the first in a short series. Jeff Scott has been the pastor of Covenant Grace Presbyterian Church in Roseburg since 2014.

Come worship with us this Christmas Sunday at 10:30 a.m. We will be singing Christmas carols and other beloved hymns during our worship and Pastor Jeff will be preaching on Revelation 21:1-8 and the future gifts God is preparing for His people, which we will receive at Jesus' second coming. Two members of Early Rain were harassed and threatened by police today. This family has been continuously harassed for the past two years. Below is a prayer request from the church. After being taken outside of their home and yelled at they were allowed to return home. In addition to this, police have also kicked multiple church members out of their homes over the past few weeks by pressuring landlords to cancel their leases. Please pray for Early Rain Covenant Church this Christmas as they celebrate the holidays under continued persecution.

At around 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, police officers from the Funan Police Station in Chengdu forcibly entered Brother Xiao Luobiao and Sister Chen Yan's home. The police officers who entered the home manhandled Brother Xiao and Sister Chen Yan, who is pregnant. Their two young children were very frightened to see their parents being abused in their home.

We also pray for Officer Lin Ke (police number 007485) of the Funan Police Station, that God would turn back his wrath from him and grant peace and joy to his loved ones.

平安夜傍晚七时许，肖荦彪弟兄陈艳姊妹家遭到成都市府南派出所警察强行闯入。闯入家里的警察抓扯肖弟兄和怀有身孕的陈艳姊妹，他们的两个幼童在屋里看到父母被侮辱的场景受到严重惊吓。

我们也为府南派出所林可警官（警号007485）祷告，求神止息他的怒气，赐平安喜乐给他的亲人。
