LOOK FOR THE RAM IN THE BUSH

“Jehovah-Jireh” is one of the many different names of God found in the Old Testament. “Jehovah-Jireh” is the KJV’s translation of YHWH-Yireh and means “The LORD Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14). It is the name memorialized by Abraham when God provided the ram to be sacrificed in place of Isaac.

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.

“To be sealed” means to be verified as God’s child. We are marked with a seal, the Holy Spirit so that the evidence of the reality of God is revealed by the way we live.

It’s time to rise up, Church, and the King of glory shall come in!

“The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. A devotion for your day.....
“Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭122:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

David expresses a profound joy when he was invited to go to the house of the Lord to worship and pray in the presence of God. Can you relate? When you think of going to church, are you overcome with gladness, or perhaps something else? With overloaded schedules and endless distractions within arm’s reach, it’s easy to allow church to become optional or become another checklist item on our to-do list. If you find that gathering with the body of Christ has become a chore like taking out the garbage, it’s high time to re-examine your perspective.

The Bible holds a promise in Psalm 92:13 that those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. Gathering with fellow believers by serving, praying, worshipping, and leaning into the teaching of God’s word realigns our souls in the midst of a world that clamors to keep our attention on temporary, earthly things. It roots us to something far deeper than the things of earth, the very heart of God.

And you, my friend, were made to flourish.
