Faith and Action International for Development (FAID) committed to community development and the empowerment of vulnerable populations in Haiti.Through it's Technical and vocational Training Institute, Faith and Action of Dufailly, located in the central department,FAID implements a vocational Training program for young people in the community, particularly young single mothers.
Genesis of the Program
This program was born out of an alarming observation: many young single mothers in Haiti find themselves in a situation of extreme precariousness, without resources or economic opportunities to support their children .In response to this challenge,FAID initiated free technical and vocational training to provide them with skills, enabling them to enter the job market or create their own income -generating activity.
Objective, Vision, and Mission of the Institute
The primary objective of the technical and vocational Training Institute, Faith and Action,is to empower young people through quality technical and vocational education. The school aims to train a new generation of competent and responsible professionals capable of transforming their community and driving local development.
It's vision is of a society where every individual, regardless of their background or social condition, has access to education and the necessary tools to succeed. The Institute 's mission is therefore to provide vocational training tailored to labor market needs, with a focus on the socio-economic integration of vulnerable youth.
Purpose of the Program
The training program for young single mothers aims to provide them with the means to achieve financial independence by teaching them trades such as sewing, office computing, cosmetology, and pastry -making and cooking and many others.Through these free training courses, these young women can develop immediately applicable technical skills, allowing them to be employed or start their own business.
