Good Sunday afternoon to everyone! Please spread the word for the services at 7 pm this evening to begin the Prayer Vigil. David Cady will be our guest speaker. We will then have 24 hours of prayer at the church followed by our closing service at 7 pm tomorrow evening. Our speaker for Monday evening is our very own Matt Thatcher. Have a blessed day to all!!

Good Sunday afternoon everyone!! The verse this afternoon is from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, "Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love."

Being on guard, watching and alert for spiritual enemies trying to destroy. Stand firm in your Christian belief, read the Bible and know right from wrong, spiritually. Be courageous, watch for false teaching and be prepared scripturally to solve the problems presented. Be strong, the Holy Spirit can lead you safely. Always do everything with love, we are loved by our Father in Heaven and should help and teach others with love. The Corinthians did this and we should as we wait for Jesus' return.

Good morning! Just a reminder that today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. The following is the schedule for the week.

April 15- Iliff United Methodist

The Community Choir will be performing Sunday thru Thursday.

What an amazing blessing to join in these celebrations that bring us to Resurrection Sunday!! Amen!!

Good Wednesday evening! The verse this evening if from Colossians 3:14, "Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony."

Paul is trying to encourage us to develop many virtues, for example mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience and forgiveness. As we clothe ourselves with all of these we need to put love on last. Love holds all these other virtues in place. Without love holding everything in place failure of all the other virtues will happen. Find love, practice love, wear love. SUCCESS! Hallelujah

Good Monday evening! The verse this evening is from Jeremiah 6:13, "From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. For the prophets to priests, they are all frauds."

Greed can lead to many types of sin. Greed can lead to cheating, robbing, murder, the list goes on. Greed is taught in the Bible to be idolatry because it can be more important to many people then God is. Being rich or having material things are not a sin but don't let money be more important then our spiritual lives. Don't let money spoil your happiness or love for God and others. Praise God!!

Good Wednesday evening! The verse this evening is from 1 John 3:18, "Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions."

Questions to this verse can help us explain this verse. Do your actions truly show that you love others? Are you being generous with your time, possessions, money? Do you pray for others? Showing sometimes can be more powerful then our words. If someone is in need maybe our first plan of action should be to pray for them, whether it be quietly or out loud, possibly with them. How much more can you show love for a stranger, or friend then to pray for them. Be prayer active, show love, be generous. Wow the feeling of love we can share!! Amen

Good Thursday evening! The verse this evening is from 1 Peter 5:7, "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."

When we worry, stress or try to handle our struggles all by ourself, we are showing that we do not trust in God. God cares about you, he is there to help you. He will carry your burden if you just trust in him, pray, ask for his help and turn the difficulty over to him.....do not pick the burden back up!! Even if the problem we are having is our fault from a possible sin or something we did incorrectly, God loves all of us and will help us if we truly trust and give it to God. Turn it over to God!! He will carry you through! Amen!!

Good Tuesday evening everyone! The verse this evening is from Ephesians 6:17, "Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God"

Jesus spent 40 days in the desert and was tempted by Satan. Jesus spent these days fasting and praying before beginning his public ministry. Satan tried to tempt Jesus just as he does each of us. He tries to use our flesh to break us in so many ways. Jesus used scripture to drive Satan away from him. Jesus would start each of the ways he fought Satan beginning with "It is written" then quoting scripture. Studying the Bible, learning scripture and quoting the scripture in prayer over our problems will drive Satan away from you. Don't let the enemy play on your weakness, show him God is your protector and use that! Amen!!
