He’s going home! Please continue to pray for he’s healing!

5:00 a.m.

We’re awake so here’s a GOOD update!
Tonight’s sleep and routine has been going so much better for all of us!!

At midnight, Trippen was able to eat some string cheese with a sprite! The chewing still it irritated his head but he made himself nibble!

By 2:00, he has used the bathroom numerous times & taken more oral meds with no issues!

Around 3:00 He & mom ate goldfish & drank some Sprite & then he crashed out again but didn’t complain about the chewing this time!!🐠

Then this morning around 5, he was able to get his belly ache relief! So glad for this!!

Please pray over the next few hours that we rest more & that his report and directions from the doctors point us north!!

5:30 a.m.

We have had a very up and down night with a lot of back and forth traffic but overall bub rested well. He has had some pain meds this morning already and is back resting before bloodwork needs pulled.

His eyes are officially swollen shut at this point with prominent bruising and swelling. However, comparing pictures from now and this point in the first surgery he is not near as swollen at this point in recovery as he was at 14 months! Swelling should max out within 2-3 days after surgery. He will have his head wrap taken off tomorrow if all goes as planned which should give him some pressure release after swelling has about stopped. Please continue to pray with us that it might stay less swollen than the first surgery.

So far this morning he has been able to use the bathroom and take a couple sips of juice with one of his meds! Praise Jesus! He told us his belly was hurting so we’re saying big prayers that he can and will try to eat and keep down some breakfast a little later this morning. The more he can and will eat and drink, the faster his IV lines can be pulled out!

We have a lot of things to wake up and Praise God for this morning!!
