On this day of Holy Week, often called “Spy Wednesday,” we remember the moment Judas chose to betray Jesus by handing him over in exchange for silver.

It’s a sobering reminder that even in the presence of perfect love, the human heart can wander. Yet, it also points us to the depth of Jesus’ grace. He knew what was coming, and still He loved. Still He chose the cross. Still He made a way for us.

Spy Wednesday invites us to pause and reflect: Where are we being called back to faithfulness? Where might we need to lay down our own hidden struggles, pride, or fear?

As we move closer to the cross, may we lean into His mercy, knowing that His love remains steady even when we fall short.

Jesus made it clear that He is the cornerstone. Not just another prophet, but God’s Son, sent when all other efforts to save us had failed.

The one they saw as insignificant would become the foundation of everything God was building. And the religious leaders knew it.

In just over a week, we celebrate Jesus completing that work by washing away our sin.

Despite the brokenness in our world, God never gave up on us. He gave us His Son, the cornerstone of our faith.

This time of year, as Jesus approaches the cross, it reminds us of how time marches on. And it reminds us that our time on earth does not stand still, nor does it last forever.

Each day that goes by, we’re reminded of our own mortality and our own fragility. We’re reminded each moment that takes place is a gift.

Time does not stand still for us, and Jesus did not command time to stand still for himself. He marched on to the cross, knowing that his time had come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Soup Cook-Off on March 15!

With 10 amazing soups and great community support, we were able to raise funds for our community garden as we work to replace beds and add fresh compost.

Congratulations to Darlene Worley for winning with her delicious Tortilla Soup! 🏆

We’re so grateful for everyone who participated and supported this event.

Have you ever heard of a breath prayer? It’s a simple practice that helps us focus on God and calm our hearts by combining Scripture with the natural rhythm of breathing. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or brokenhearted, you’re invited to follow along.

Breathe in.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.”

Breathe out.
“He saves those who are crushed in Spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

Breathe in.
“God is my refuge and strength.”

Breathe out.
“He is an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

Amen.
