Hope Church - Roscoe

Hope Church - Roscoe Building a community that loves Christ to reach a community that needs Christ. At Hope Free Church, the word “hope” is central to who we are and what we do.

We are a group of people who believe that Jesus Christ gives us a reason to have hope for both today and tomorrow. We are a church that, like the community around us, is growing. We do not claim to have the answers for every question a person might have. Instead, we believe that the answers for the questions of today can be found in God’s Word and we will help you search for those answers. Do you have questions? Are you looking for a place to belong? Come Visit Hope!

A new month means a new 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲!
For September, we’re focusing on “𝗕𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.”

Hospitality is more than just inviting someone into your home. It can look like noticing someone who’s new, making room for someone else, starting a conversation, or simply helping someone feel like they belong. So, how can we be more hospitable to one another this month?

Join us throughout September as we put this into practice, and don’t miss the sermon on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯 as we dive deeper into what it looks like to be hospitable to one another!

PAVING THE WAY — Our Campaign Launch Is This Sunday!

Our parking lot has served Hope Church for decades—but after years of wear, cracks, potholes, drainage issues, and uneven surfaces, it’s time to pave the way for something better.

This Sunday at 9:30 AM, we’re officially launching our Paving the Way campaign—a three-year effort to completely rebuild our parking lot and create a safer, more welcoming space for everyone who comes through our doors. And this is about more than asphalt. It’s about making a better way for people to gather, connect, worship, and experience community at Hope Church.

After second service, we’ll continue the launch with lunch and a prayer walk as we pray over this project, our church family, and the people God will bring through our doors in the years ahead. We hope you can join us!

Midweek Connection is back starting September 9th! And one of our favorite parts of the night is family meals!

From the very beginning, the church gathered around meals, devoted to fellowship as much as faith. Scripture calls us to keep meeting together, especially as life pulls us in different directions. Midweek Connection carries on that rhythm—a space to slow down, share a meal, serve one another, and build relationships that matter.
Join us 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝟱:𝟯𝟬-𝟲:𝟭𝟱𝗽𝗺 as our church family comes together around the table, serves, volunteers, and lives out what it means to be the church—together.

If you haven’t heard of Awana before, it’s an international children’s ministry that gives kids of all backgrounds a place to belong, believe, and become. Awana is designed in a fun, club-like format where kids get to belong to something bigger than themselves. Each week, they’ll learn Scripture through large-group lessons and Scripture memory verses, helping them grow in their understanding and belief of God’s truth. And as they learn and grow, our hope is that they will become lifelong followers of Christ.

This year, our ministry theme is 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿—a call to be a church that doesn’t just gather together, but truly lives life together.

If you missed church this past Sunday, Pastor Andrew talked about the rhythms and relationships of corporate discipleship and what it looks like to become a more intentional church body—practicing and living out our oneness!

Stop by the lobby to pick up one of our “Live It Out” cards and join us as we put One Another into practice. Let’s be intentional about loving, serving, encouraging, and caring for one another as the body of Christ!

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀!

A few weeks ago, our middle schoolers gathered right here at the church for an incredible retreat—and what a few days it was! From building deeper friendships and diving into God’s Word to serving, playing games, and singing together, these students made memories that will last.

One highlight? They packed over 70 boxes of food for Feed My Starving Children, putting their faith into action and serving others together. ❤️

It was a retreat filled with laughter, worship, growth, and connection—and one we won’t soon forget! We’re so thankful for the ways God is working in the lives of our middle school students and for the youth leaders who pour into them!

A few Sundays ago, we had the privilege of commissioning our newest elders during our worship service. The office of pastor/elder is a significant calling, and as a church, we prayerfully appoint these men, trusting the Holy Spirit's guidance as they shepherd and lead our church family. We're thankful for these faithful leaders and invite you to join us in prayer for them as they serve the Lord and His church!

Yesterday, a team from Hope Church headed to Poland to serve at a family camp, where they'll have the opportunity to encourage, support, and pour into the workers serving there and the families attending the camp. As they build relationships and share the hope of Jesus, they're joining in the work God is already doing across the world. We're excited to see how God works through this team!

There’s just something special about gathering around the table with the family of God. What a blessing to be part of this church!

A huge THANK YOU to the countless volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this day happen. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and love you poured into making this event so special!
