1951 - Communion at Roper PH Church, the former sanctuary. We observed the Lord's Supper yesterday in service. It is always precious to share this sacrament in remembrance of Jesus' life & death & the new covenant.

A church member asked me if I had any photos of the altar area in the "old church." I believe this is the only picture I have that shows a good portion of that part of the church.

If anyone has any pictures of the altar in the old Roper Pentecostal Holiness Church, please feel free to share. If you don't but know someone who might have pictures, please put in the comments below or reach out to them. Thank you!

FYI - I will make this post on the new church page another day. I just put something else on it that needs to be seen first.

I would like to invite everyone to go to our new Roper PH Church page. I want to tell you that I, Byrd, had a family circumstance which necessitated my attention just before Christmas 2023. After my father passed away on January 2, 2024, I took a break from my ministry posts, including Facebook. Since then, our pastors have been able to do research & start the new page. We are hoping all of the wonderful information, videos, & comments from this page, originally created by former pastor, David Bryan, will be synthesized into the new one.

God wants to use this page to glorify Himself, to bring others into relationship with Him, & to draw believers closer to Him. He wants others to see that the Roper PH Church is staying the course. Please join us on our journey - https://www.facebook.com/RoperPHC!

Pastor Ronnie, preaching on the birthday of the King of kings on Sunday morning. He plans to continue that theme, this-coming Sunday. Come & join us for Sunday School at 10 a.m. & morning worship service at 11 a.m. on December 24th.

The church in Christmas apparel. Reminds me of Scriptures where the Lord or His servants are clothed with righteousness, light, strength, dignity, & majesty. How are we spiritually clothed during this most special season? Is our appearance appealing?

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10

We began the month of December with communion. Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, God with us, our Savior. This we did in remembrance of Him.

Williamston District Thanksgiving Service at Williamston First Pentecostal Holiness Church - We enjoyed hearty singing & musical accompaniment, communion, fellowship, & the Word. Pastor Ronnie Casper shared the Word with boldness & fervor, centering on our spiritual roots & how we need to be tending to them. The Devil certainly tries to cut them off, but Jesus Christ is the life-giving source who nurtures our roots & enables them to grow deeply.

Thank you, Williamston First PH Church, for hosting all of us & making us feel welcome! To God be the glory for a splendid time with Christian brothers & sisters in His house!

153 shoeboxes...153 shoeboxes which are filled with basic hygiene items, toys, games, school supplies, coloring books. 153 shoeboxes which have been covered with prayer & to which will be added Biblical material to point the recipients to Jesus Christ. To God be the glory! May every shoebox bring hope, joy, & love to someone in need of salvation, somewhere in our world.

Gallery of veterans from our church - We honor the living, & we take time to remember those who are no longer with us. Some survived the harshness of training & living life away from the comforts of home. Some survived those circumstances, plus the harshness of war.

We have shared their stories through the years. We are grateful their stories inspire others to serve & form the fabric of church & family history.
