🎓 This Sunday is Senior Sunday at Zion's Chapel.

On Sunday, June 7, we will honor our high school and college graduates during morning worship, the young men and women in our church family who are stepping into a new season of life.

Come out and celebrate with us. These graduates have grown up under our care, our prayers, and our teaching. Sunday is our chance to send them forward with our blessing.

Families, friends, grandparents, if you know one of our graduates, this is the Sunday to come.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

🎶 What a night.

Last night at Zion's Chapel, The Gospel Lights brought us a 5th Sunday evening of gospel music, worship, and praise, and what a gift it was.

The pews were full. Voices were raised. Hearts were lifted. From the first note to the last, it was the kind of evening that reminded us why we gather, why we sing, and why the gospel sung sounds different than the gospel only spoken.

Thank you, Gospel Lights, for sharing your gifts, your time, and your hearts with our church family. The way you led us in praise will stay with us.

Thank you, church family, for showing up, for filling the pews, for singing along, and for making last night the gathering it was.

This is what it looks like when a community comes together.

📖 Thursday Encouragement

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." Galatians 5:1

This week our nation paused to honor those who gave their lives so that we might live free. It is right to remember them. It is right to be grateful.

But Scripture points us to a freedom even greater, one no army could win and no enemy can take. The freedom Christ purchased at the cross. Freedom from sin. Freedom from fear. Freedom from death itself.

That freedom is offered to everyone. And it lasts forever.

Tonight is our final Wednesday meal before summer break. Our faithful cooks have served us faithfully week after week, come share one last meal together before they take a well-deserved rest for the season.

And remember, Bible study continues all summer long at 6:30 PM. It's the meal that's taking a break, not the Word.

Whether you've been with us for years or you've never set foot in our building, we'll see you tonight.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember.

We remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, who laid down everything so that others might live in freedom.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13

Today we honor their sacrifice. We hold their families in our prayers. And we give thanks to God for lives poured out in service to others.

May we never take for granted the freedom purchased at so great a cost.
