Alhamdulillah, brothers and sisters.
This year, Allah has decreed that Eid falls on a Friday — a blessed convergence of two great acts of worship.
From the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ:
When Eid and Jumu’ah occur on the same day:
➡️ Eid Prayer is to be established and attended
➡️ Jumu’ah becomes optional for those who attended Eid
➡️ However, Jumu’ah is STILL established in the Masjid
This is a mercy (rukhsah) from Allah — not a neglect of worship.
🤲🏽 Let us honor both:
• The joy of Eid
• The unity of Jumu’ah
And hold firmly to the Sunnah with knowledge, balance, and sincerity.
Spread this knowledge. Teach the people. Revive the Sunnah.
