"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor." (Psalm 8:3-5 NIV)

It is impossible for us to even begin to fathom the enormity of our God. That revelation should simultaneously invoke reverent fear in us and bring us great comfort. Our God is so powerful He spoke universes into being and He cares so deeply for us He chose a scoundrels death to restore the relationship with Him that we chose to betray. Be encouraged today, my friends, that Our God is powerful enough to take care of anything we're facing and loves us so much that He longs to do it.

Heavenly Father, the only right response to all of this is to praise and honor You. When we get distracted by the trials and setbacks we face, or start to fear what the world throws at us, remind us to look up and rest in the knowledge that "if you can hold the stars in place, you can hold [our] hearts the same". In Jesus' name. Amen.

"For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you." (Psalm 71:5-6 NIV)

It is comforting to know that whether or not our parents expected us, we were a part of God's plan from the beginning. Friends, we are not here by accident. God lovingly chose to bring us to this specific place at this specific time for a purpose. Knowing that truth can give us confidence that we can trust Him to carry us through anything we encounter.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for constant watchful care. We love You Lord, and trust You to work every situation out for our good and Your glory. Help us to continue to praise You and share the truth of Your love and salvation in this place and time. In Jesus' name. Amen.
