Meet Steeve. At just 11 months old, he arrived at our clinic with fever, loss of appetite, and dangerously low weight. His parents, both farmers, were desperate to see their son thrive.
We enrolled Steeve in our Medika Mamba program, and in just one month his weight climbed from 16 lbs to 19 lbs — and his appetite came back.
His mother's was so happy to see that he was doing better.
This is what your dollars do. It doesn't happen by accident — it happens because of you.
Every gift made in April is matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000.

With broken hearts, we are grieved to share with you that Deanna Newman, a missionary serving with Real Hope for Haiti since 2015, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on July 24, 2024 and is now with Jesus.
In all that we have had to endure in Haiti, this is one of the greatest challenges we have faced. Anna was a selfless servant, a prayer warrior, an incredible teacher, and a faithful friend. It was one of the great honors of our lives to call her a sister in the faith and co-laborer in Christ.

Life has been quite challenging for us over the past few months here in Haiti. Our neighborhood has been affected by gang activities, making our daily existence tougher than ever. The situation in the country has taken a toll on various aspects of life, with even basic activities like buying food from local markets becoming increasingly difficult.
Blocked roads have made it almost impossible for sellers to reach the markets, and a shortage of fuel for transportation vehicles has only added to the complications. As a family that relies on buying and reselling, we've had to find other ways to sustain our livelihoods.
Currently, we've turned to ocean travel as a solution to reach areas where we can purchase the merchandise we need. It's not an ideal situation, bringing its own set of challenges and safety concerns, but it's a necessary step if we want to continue making a living.
Despite these obstacles, we remain resilient, doing what we must to survive in these uncertain times. Our hope is that conditions will improve, and we fervently pray for a safer and more stable future for our family and our community.

Dearest Friends of Real Hope,

I have received the following from one of the Board of Directors members letting me know of an opportunity to help the people in the Cazale area:

We have been offered $12,500 in matching funds to be used for an Above and Beyond fund donated to the GENERAL FUND. Funds are matched now through December 31, 2022.

As the Haitian people struggle to live amidst gang violence that has consumed the area, people are fleeing their homes and coming through the mountains to find refuge. For months the fuel terminal was controlled by the gangs and for weeks there was no access to banks to get money. A portion of Haiti has now officially reached catastrophic levels of starvation. Nearly 4.7 million are reported to be at crisis levels of hunger or higher in Haiti. The closest place to RHFH that they are bringing fuel is St. Marc. The price of rice alone costs over $1,000/month more than just a few month ago. The total need is approximately $2500/month more. Cases of Cholera have been surging. Praise God we still have access to the Cholera Treatment Center. At the beginning of the week we had approximately 25 in the CTC and the clinic is receiving about 4-6 people a day. I've attached a photo of Sonara and her mother to show the amazing transformation from being so close to death to a sweet smiling girl 2 days later after being rehydrated with IV fluid. We are in desperate need of IV fluid which continues to rise in price due to lack of supply. Last month it was $3.00/bag. This month it was $4.66/bag. We estimate it will cost an average of $50/person to treat cholera. This includes staff, fluids, cleaning/disinfecting, etc.

AND God sees. God knows. God hears. God moves. Please consider becoming a one - time donor, or if you’re a recurring donor, increase your giving in this crisis situation. Funds will be matched until Dec. 31, 2022. Here is a link to donate: http://www.realhopeforhaiti.org/donate Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers.

I am looking for those that would be willing to sew cloth diapers for 5 of our special needs children. I would like them to have PUL material included. They are all larger than the diapers we currently have in stock. You can add a comment or email me at [email protected] if you might be willing to help. Thanks in advance!
