WHAT'S YOUR CHURCH LIKE?

Just before a Sunday service at Saint Bartholomew Church a man wearing a large hat was discovered on the front row. An usher went to him and asked him to remove his hat. He refused. The head usher then came and made the same request. The man again refused. The president of the women of the parish arrived, confronted the man and got the same results. With only two minutes left before the opening hymn the senior warden of the perish was summoned and he tried to sneak up on the man and grab his hat. The man dodged him. As the opening hymn began the man stood up and removed his hat and didn't put it on again.

At the conclusion of the service the four frustrated people waited for the man at the rear of the church where the senior warden approached him and said: "sir, perhaps you don't understand but in an Episcopal church men don't wear a hat during worship." The man replied: "oh I understand. I've been an Episcopalian all my life. I've been coming to this church for two years and I've never met a soul. But this morning I met an usher, the head usher, the president of the church women, and the senior warden."

How long can somebody come to your church without "YOU" greeting them?

Would someone have to do something wrong to get noticed?
