🚨 Friendly Reminder 🚨

Our parking lot at The Abbey on Main is private property and is reserved for our guests, our tenants, and our scheduled events. We’ve noticed an increase in unauthorized vehicles parking here, with four vehicles today alone not including sometimes the hundred vehicles that go to the post office and use the parking lot.

Beginning this afternoon, unauthorized vehicles left in the lot may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense. This includes vehicles that are here today since early.

We understand this may not be a popular post, and we know some may be disappointed by this change. Please understand that our parking lot is not public parking, and we are not compensated for its use. Like any private property owner, we are responsible for maintaining, repairing, insuring, and snow-plowing the lot. If we allowed unrestricted parking, there simply wouldn’t be enough space for those visiting The Abbey, and the wear and tear on the lot would become our responsibility alone.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work to preserve this historic property and ensure adequate parking for our guests. Thank you. 😊
