❤️ THE MISSION WAS ALWAYS BIGGER THAN US ❤️
To our amazing LIFE Church family,
For 19 years, God has been writing a story here. And what a story it has been.
A story of salvation.
Restoration.
Healing.
Freedom.
Baptism.
New beginnings.
Second chances.
And ordinary people saying yes to an extraordinary God.
For 19 years, we have watched God do what only He can do. We have watched marriages saved when they seemed beyond repair. We have watched families restored and relationships rebuilt. We have watched people find freedom from addiction and discover a new way of living. We have stood at baptismal waters and watched people go down in the water and come up proclaiming that their old life was not the end of their story.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
We have celebrated salvations and baptisms. We have celebrated new beginnings as couples stood before their families and friends and promised their lives to one another. We have had the privilege of hosting weddings and witnessing the beginning of new families. We have rocked babies in our arms and celebrated the gift of new life. And we have also sat in the quiet moments. We have grieved with families after the loss of someone they loved. We have cried together. We have prayed together. We have stood beside one another when there simply weren't words big enough for the pain. And we have reminded one another that even in the darkest valleys, God is near.
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
We have witnessed miracles, answered prayers, unexpected breakthroughs, restored relationships, and moments that could only be explained by the faithfulness of God.
We have welcomed babies.
Celebrated marriages.
Celebrated baptisms.
Celebrated salvations.
Walked through sickness.
Walked through healing.
Mourned losses.
Celebrated new beginnings.
Prayed through storms.
Laughed together.
Cried together.
Worshiped together.
We have done LIFE together.
And through every season—
God has been faithful.
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”
— Lamentations 3:22–23
Somewhere along the way, LIFE Church became more than a name. It became family. And that is why this moment carries so much emotion. But as we turn the page on this chapter, we don't want to look backward with only sadness. We want to look backward with gratitude. Because God's faithfulness deserves to be remembered.
“Remember the wondrous works that he has done.”
— 1 Chronicles 16:12
So remember:
Remember the baptismal waters.
Remember the wedding vows.
Remember the babies.
Remember the families.
Remember the celebrations.
Remember the tears.
Remember those we loved who are no longer with us.
Remember the prayers.
Remember the miracles.
Remember the marriages God restored.
Remember the addictions He broke.
Remember the families He brought back together.
Remember the people who walked through our doors broken and walked away with hope.
Remember what God has done.
Because the same God who was faithful then is faithful now.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
— Hebrews 13:8
THE MISSION WAS ALWAYS BIGGER THAN US
For years, we have said: Love God. Love Others. Make Disciples.
And as we look toward this next season, we need to remember something important: That mission was never the mission of LIFE Church. It was always God's mission. We didn't create it. We didn't own it. And we don't get to take it with us or leave it behind. Jesus gave His Church the mission to love God, love others, and make disciples.
Matthew 22 calls us to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbor as ourselves. And in Matthew 28, Jesus tells His followers to go and make disciples.
That was never just a LIFE Church mission. That is a Jesus mission. And that's why the mission doesn't end because a name changes.
The name may change.
The building may change.
The way we gather may change.
But Jesus hasn't changed.
And His mission hasn't changed.
So, when we step into what God has next, we're not leaving the mission behind. We're carrying it forward. We will continue to love God. We will continue to love people. We will continue to make disciples.
Because ultimately, it was never about building LIFE Church. It was always about building the Kingdom of God.
And that's why we can move forward with hope.
Continue to:
Bring the stories.
Bring the testimonies.
Bring the compassion.
Bring the gifts.
Bring the faith.
Bring the love for people.
Bring everything God has built in you over these 18 years.
Keep serving.
Keep loving.
Keep worshiping.
Keep reaching.
Keep making a difference.
Because LIFE was never just a building. LIFE was never just a name. LIFE was the people—and the life of Jesus working through them. And that life doesn't end because a season changes.
The Bible tells us:
“He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.”
— Philippians 1:6
So we don't believe this is the end of what God is doing. God isn't done.
There are still people who need Jesus.
There are still families who need restoration.
There are still marriages worth fighting for.
There are still prodigals who need to come home.
There are still babies to rock.
There are still weddings to celebrate.
There are still baptisms to celebrate.
There are still miracles to witness.
There are still people who need someone to sit beside them in their grief.
There are still generations to reach.
There is still work to do.
“Do not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9
So as we close the chapter of these 18 years, we don't say goodbye to what God has done.
We say:
THANK YOU, JESUS.
Thank You for every life changed.
Every marriage restored.
Every addiction broken.
Every family reunited.
Every baby welcomed.
Every wedding celebrated.
Every salvation.
Every baptism.
Every miracle.
Every tear shed.
Every family comforted in grief.
Every prayer.
Every testimony.
Every person who found hope.
**What a faithfulness.
What a story.
What a God.**
And now we move forward—not because the story is over, but because God is still writing it.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth.”
— Isaiah 43:19
So, LIFE family, let's carry this with us:
We are not losing the mission.
We are not losing the story.
We are not losing what God has done.
We are carrying it forward. We honor the 19 years behind us. We embrace the season ahead. And with open hands and willing hearts, we say:
“God, whatever You want to do next, we're YOURS. Send US!”
Same Jesus.
Same mission.
A new chapter.
And a bigger reach.
