Sherwood at Rome It is a new day at Sherwood and we are excited to share what God is doing in our fellowship with others.

Sherwood exists for the purpose of bringing glory and honor to Christ Jesus. As a conservative SBC church our aim is to reach others with the life changing gospel both in Floyd County but also to the far reaches of the globe. Love God and Love Others is our simple but motivated mission statement that drives everything we do as a fellowship. LOVE GOD - Jesus said that we are to, "'love the LORD yo

ur God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the greatest of commandments and in it we find the key to a vibrant and fruitful spiritual life that brings glory to God. God calls us to a life of devotion, service, and fruitfulness as we surrender daily to His will, Word, and ways. We as a church want to do everything we can to help cultivate the individual to reach his/her potential in the work of God. LOVE OTHERS - Jesus said, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Clearly, this second of the greatest commandments goes beyond ourselves, our family, and our local church, but reaches to all men in all places. The world is our target and we will strive to reach all walks of life with the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our inward reach is just as important and we take that very seriously seeking to edify one another in the fellowship of the saints.

Today, we rejoice with all of Heaven as another precious soul received Christ as Lord and Savior. Hope is alive and forgiveness is available for all who call upon the name of the Lord.
