Periodically, we upgrade the cemetery maintenance equipment to enable our staff to continue to keep the grounds looking nice in the most efficient way possible. Doing this means we have equipment we no longer use and make available for sale. The equipment is still usable.

Currently we have 2 Bad Boy Zero turn mowers for sale. We are asking $1,500 for each mower. These were over $3,500 new.

If you are interested or know someone who might be, please reach out. They will be sold on a first come, first pay basis.

If you've been to the cemetery recently, you may have noticed a new sign just past the Kingsley Chapel. The sign highlights our rules and regulations as update in May of 2025. We hope you take a moment to read and become familiar with the rules and regulations. Compliance is not only appreciated but helps make the cemetery a welcoming place for all visitors.

Complete rules and regulations are available on our website www.romecemetery.org or by visiting the office.

As we endure the snow and cold and wait patiently for spring - it's not too early to think about making your sponsorship for Wreaths Across America.

This year's event takes place on December 19, 2026. Sponsoring early ensures that, if you are sponsoring a wreath for a specific veteran in Rome Cemetery, that wreath will be here. Sponsoring early also means you don't have to remember as the event gets closer and the holiday season becomes hectic.

You can sponsor online by going to: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/NY0005P or by sending a check payable to Wreaths Across America to Rome Cemetery; PO Box 464; Rome NY 13442. Please include a note if your sponsorship is for a specific veteran.

If you have any questions, please reach out.

Wreaths Across America ("WAA") coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies every December to "Remember, Honor, and Teach" about the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. Please check out this page to learn how you can help by sponsoring Veterans Remembrance Wreaths or by joining us on Decembe...
