Hello Everyone!
We hope you're well and have had a wonderful summer! We certainly have, and are definitely due for an update!
Discipleship Retreat
If you weren't already aware, in lieu of our traditional West Virginia Missions trip this year, we decided to try something different by having a Discipleship Retreat at the beautiful Spruce Lake Retreat Center in Canadensis, PA. It was truly an amazing few days of fellowship, study, and worship! Our messages this year involved the study of Spiritual Disciplines, with our theme verse being 1 Timothy 4:7 with focus upon the command to "Discipline yourself for the purpose of Godliness."
We started off our week by departing Monday morning, stopped for a quick lunch, received a message on the importance of spiritual disciplines, and enjoyed the beauty of creation on the mountain top of Big Pocono State Park. From there, we went and enjoyed some more fellowship with a couple hours of airsoft at a nearby airsoft and paintball field. Arriving at Spruce Lake, we settled in, made dinner, and partook in worship and a message on the discipline of studying Scripture. Tuesday brought with it a message on fasting and an opportunity to practice it, as well as more time to experience God's creation with a hike on some of Spruce Lake's trails. The day was also filled with fellowship, free time to explore Spruce Lake, swim, play games and converse. Our evening was rounded out with a message on Prayer and a time of skits put on by teams that we were broken into. On Wednesday, our morning message was on Service, and we took time to partake in a scavenger hunt put on by Spruce Lake, taking us adventuring throughout the campus in search of lots of interesting locations and history of the retreat center. That afternoon, the most adventurous among us were also able to go zip-lining! And our message for that evening was on Evangelism, which we even tried practicing on each other. That night's activity also saw our teams competing for who could create the best rendition of a classic Sunday School song. Following breakfast Thursday, it was time for packing up, a final message on Fellowship, and eating lunch, before beginning our journey home and making a stop for some final fun with some bowling.

Stoney Point Missions Camp
The first week of August brought with it another amazingly successful Stoney Point Missions Camp! We had a great group of a little over a dozen teens and worked on a variety of projects including expanding a climbing wall, helping build a new cabin for a resident missionary at Stoney Point, building a blacksmith shop, power washing and staining a shed, painting corrals, and building storage shelters for firewood. Students also got to have meaningful conversations over lunchtime devotions, and heard messages each of the two evenings that were abridged versions of those on Spiritual Disciplines that our older students got to experience on the Discipleship Retreat. There were also wonderful meals courtesy of the Stoney Point staff, and a good bit of time for fun as well. We're so thankful that we get to continue to serve the needs of our neighbors at Stoney Point as they serve an even larger community of campers!
The School Year Ahead
Starting off the 2025-26 school year, we have our annual 7th Grade Only Party to kick us off, coming up next Friday, September 12th! 7th Grade Students can join us from 6:30pm-9pm at the Northeast Bradford High School for a great time with food, fun, and games, along with a Gospel message and introduction to ROCC. A permission slip signed by a parent is required.
Following the 7th Grade Party, we'll be right into our normal ROCC 'N ROLL events at Bonin's on the 2nd Friday of each month, starting on October 10th, from 4:30-6:30! As always, there'll be skating, pool & air hockey tournaments, and a message about God with great discussions to follow. This year, we'll be looking to explore 8 of the biggest stories in Scripture!
In the second half of the school year, as usual we'll also be looking forward to our Super Football Party event on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 at the NEB High School, and Arrowhead Camp on Saturday, May 16th!
Thank you as always to our community, for all of your support in prayer and other ways. We're so grateful for how God continues to use us to work in the lives of others!
