At OBC you will find a warm community of Jesus-followers, truth for life taught from God’s Word, and a spirit of serving others. OBC is a Bible-based, non-denominational church that is small in size but big in community! Our week begins on Sunday morning with Sunday School, meeting downstairs from 9:30-10:15, with classes for Pre-School through Adults, followed by our Worship Service at 10:30. A N
ursery is available (staffed for the Worship Service), as well as a Kids’ Church (ages 4-4th grade). Regular opportunities for involvement include, but are not limited to: teaching, children's & youth ministry, community outreach, music, meals, hospitality, women's prayer and crafting ministry, men's breakfasts, member care, social events, and various "hands-on" project ministries. When you arrive at our church, you will find a warm welcome, traditional setting, a mix of both traditional and contemporary music, and a clear, systematic, relevant teaching of the Scriptures, along with a semi-formal style of service. Our church family uses a variety of Bible translations, and dress is up to you! Our church family includes couples, singles and families, from newborn to nineties! (Our average age is ~40.) You will find us in the small, hill-top community of Orwell, located on Orwell Hill Rd. (northeast of Rome) between Rt.187 and Potterville (west of LeRaysville). Parking is available across the road as well as a limited parking lot behind the building for those needing a sheltered drop-off and/or a level entry into the auditorium.
