Stillness is not inactivity.
It is not laziness. It is not wasting time. It is not falling behind.
Stillness is where striving ends… and trusting begins.
In a world that measures worth by movement, noise, and productivity, stillness feels uncomfortable, almost wrong. We feel the urge to do something, fix something, prove something. But God does some of His deepest work not in our doing… but in our being.
Stillness is where the soul exhales. It’s where anxious thoughts lose their grip. Where heavy hearts begin to soften. Where God’s voice becomes louder than the chaos. You may look still on the outside…but inside, heaven is moving.
Because stillness is not empty...it is full. Full of surrender. Full of listening. Full of quiet faith that says, “God, even when I don’t see it… You are working.”
There are battles you cannot win by striving. There are burdens you cannot carry by force. There are seasons where God gently whispers, “Be still… and let Me be God.”
And that kind of stillness? It takes more faith than running. Because staying still means trusting that God is already moving...even when you’re not.
So if you feel like you’re in a quiet season, a waiting season, a hidden season… Don’t mistake it for inactivity. God is forming something in you that efforts and rush could never produce. Strength that doesn’t panic. Faith that is firm. Peace that doesn’t depend on outcomes.
Stillness is not where purpose dies...it’s where it is refined.
So rest. Not because nothing is happening…
but because God is ❤️🔥
