Join us tomorrow as we kick off our spooky October series, Who Ya Gonna Call? At some point, we’re all haunted by the ghosts of loneliness, regret and darkness. The good news is that God is still busting ghosts! Join us at 9 or 11 a.m.

Our Dolly Book Drive netted 601 books for Cal’s Library! We’re grateful for everyone who donated a new book for a child in our community. Thank you to The Dance Center and Traveling Gypsies and Kava Den for serving as community book dropoff spots!

We’re honored that our historic sanctuary was chosen to be part of the Rome Ramble today. The Ramble is sponsored by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Ramblers from all over Georgia and beyond are touring the many historic sites in our community.

Pro tip: Our sanctuary is open every Sunday at 11 a.m., no ticket required. 😉 We hope to see you then!

Thank you to The Rome News-Tribune for telling the community about our Dolly Book Drive! We will continue collecting new books for children and youth through Sept. 24. You can drop them in the baskets in our lobbies or bring them to the church office.

Following Dolly Parton’s passing, Rome First United Methodist Church is hosting a book drive to foster children's literacy in our community.

Great Day was GREAT!

Our Great Day of Service was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when we come together to serve, connect, and make a difference in our community.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and shared their time and talents. We’re grateful for a church family that continues to put faith into action and be a good neighbor.

What a great day of serving together! 💓

Tomorrow, we begin our new sermon series: The Good Samaritan. This isn’t simply a story about being nice to people. It’s a story about becoming the kind of people Jesus calls us to be.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll explore the capacity required for faithful discipleship: the capacity to love, the capacity to grow, and the capacity to act. How can we become people—and a church—with greater capacity to be good neighbors?

Join us tomorrow as we begin the journey together!
9 a.m. in the Wilder Center
11 a.m. in the Sanctuary
