Gail Drew recently shared the following picture and background with us:
A bit of background about our family: My uncle, Torrance Harvey managed the Methodist camp from 1945 until 1968, and many of the aunts, uncles and cousins worked at the camp over the years. July 4th was always a family gathering at the camp for us, and our oldest cousin was married in the chapel there. The attached photo is of my grandparents and their 8 children, sitting on the porch steps of the dining room. Torrance is in the top row, furthest to the right.

Day in the life of a Camp Director:
Even though the water is still high enough to dunk your feet from the dock it is time for fall chores!
Bringing in and power washing the paddleboards. Pulling the boat in for the winter, buoys and ropes in, those are some of the first jobs to get done before the water drops (and gets too much colder!)

The Flathead valley seems to be taking that idea of Labor Day being the end of summer very seriously. 🥶
