Our Vision

In accordance with Biblical truth, the National Day of Prayer Task Force seeks to:
■Mobilize and encourage personal and corporate prayer, regardless of current issues and positions (Colossians 4:2, Romans 12:12, Matthew 18:19-20, Joel 2:13-16, II Chronicles 7:14)
■Preserve America’s Christian heritage and defend the religious freedoms granted by the Constitution (Deuteronomy 6:6-8,

Proverbs 14:34)
■Emphasize prayer for America and its leadership in the seven centers of power: Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church and Family (I Timothy 2:1-6)
■Foster unity within the Christian Church (Psalm 133:1, Ephesians 4:11-13)

Our Values
■Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength (Mark 12:30/ Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
■Respect all people, regardless of gender, race, socio-economic status or creed (Mark 12:31)
■Be wise stewards of God’s resources and provision (Matthew 25:14-30)

70th Annual National Day of Prayer
May 6, 2021

Check back here on the National Day of Prayer to watch our livestream online!

This year marks 70 years since Reverend Billy Graham stood on the capitol steps in February 1952 and called for congress and the president to establish a day of prayer. By April of that year, President Truman signed the legislation into public law.

Through the decades, the efforts of the National Day of Prayer Task Force have mobilized Americans to observe the National Day of Prayer in all 50 states and in U.S. territories to praise God and intercede for our nation. In the evening we "gather" as a nation around our televisions, radios, phones and computers to pray for our nation from all across the nation. Through the generosity of our host and sponsors, The Museum of the Bible and OneCry.com, we invite you to join us at 8PM ET to unite in a significant evening of prayer.

As we believe and pray in 2021, our theme echoes our prayers: “LORD pour out Your LOVE, LIFE, and LIBERTY.” Once again proclaiming a promise of God in our theme verse, 2 Corinthians 3:17 NKJV, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

“It is our prayer today and throughout 2021 that the Spirit of the Lord would pour out and pour through us across America,” said Kathy Branzell. “We pray to see the Lord fill our lives, families, churches, workplace, education, military, government, arts, entertainment and media, with Biblical, not cultural, not worldly, but Spirit-empowered, Spirit-filled LOVE, LIFE and LIBERTY as designed and defined by our Creator and Savior.”

You can pray along through the broadcast with any of our partner stations:

TV: God TV, TLN, Daystar

Radio:

We exist to enlist and equip people to pray for their homes, cities, churches, and the nation.
