“Should Christians Have S*x Outside of Marriage?”
We live in a world where people say:
- “If two people love each other, s*x is perfectly fine.”
- “As long as we are committed, we don't need a marriage license.”
- “Everybody is doing it.”
- “God wants me to be happy, so He wouldn't deny me something I desire.”
But the question for a Christian is not simply, “What does society accept?”
The question is, “What does the Word of God teach?”
We cannot build our convictions on popular opinion, changing culture, or personal feelings. We must build them on Scripture.

Here is the first thing I would tell someone considering marriage: You cannot have absolute certainty that a marriage will never face problems, but you can make a much wiser decision by seeking God's direction, examining the person's character, and looking beyond your emotions.
Love is important, but love alone is not enough to build a successful marriage. You also need spiritual agreement, trust, maturity, faithfulness, and a willingness to work through difficulties.
Here are seven biblical principles to help you choose wisely.

Today, people ask, “Why get married? If two people love each other, why do they need a piece of paper? Why make a commitment that might last a lifetime?”
But marriage was not invented by the government, the courthouse, or modern society. Marriage began in the heart and plan of God!
Before there was a church building, before there was a government, and before there was a nation, God established marriage in the Garden of Eden.
If we want to understand marriage, we must look beyond what society says and ask, “What did God intend marriage to be?”
Marriage was God's idea. It is more than a legal contract, more than a romantic relationship, and more than living together. Marriage is a covenant designed by God for companionship, faithfulness, family, and spiritual growth.
