When was the last time you truly rested? Not just physically, but spiritually? This Sunday we explored the Fourth Commandment and discovered that rest isn't just about stopping work—it's about stopping ourselves long enough to remember who God is and what He's done for us.
The early church shifted from Saturday to Sunday worship for one powerful reason: the resurrection. Every Sunday became a celebration of Jesus walking out of that tomb, defeating death, and securing our future. That's worth remembering.
Maybe you need to put down your phone, step away from the worries, and just be present with God. Rest from you. Remember Him. Because when we take communion, we're not just looking back at the cross—we're looking forward to the day when Jesus returns and we'll rest in His presence forever.
What do you need to rest from today so you can remember what truly matters?
