When was the last time you truly rested? Not just physically, but spiritually? This Sunday we explored the Fourth Commandment and discovered that rest isn't just about stopping work—it's about stopping ourselves long enough to remember who God is and what He's done for us.

The early church shifted from Saturday to Sunday worship for one powerful reason: the resurrection. Every Sunday became a celebration of Jesus walking out of that tomb, defeating death, and securing our future. That's worth remembering.

Maybe you need to put down your phone, step away from the worries, and just be present with God. Rest from you. Remember Him. Because when we take communion, we're not just looking back at the cross—we're looking forward to the day when Jesus returns and we'll rest in His presence forever.

What do you need to rest from today so you can remember what truly matters?

One of my favorite moments from the World Cup so far didn’t happen during the game.

After Japan played the Netherlands, their fans stayed behind and quietly cleaned up trash — not just their own, but everyone else’s too. It’s being called the “Blue Bag Blessing,” and it’s been really powerful to watch.

It made me think about this truth:
True character isn’t shown in our big wins or public victories. It’s revealed in the quiet moments when no one else is watching.

Jesus modeled this perfectly. In Philippians 2, we see that He didn’t cling to His status — He humbled Himself and served others, even when it cost Him everything.

This week, I want to challenge you to carry your own “blue bag of blessing.” Look for quiet ways to serve the people around you and leave spaces a little better than you found them.

It might not go viral… but it reflects Jesus.

What’s one way you can quietly serve someone this week? Drop it in the comments 👇

God alone is worth building your life upon. 🙌
In this powerful 25-second clip, Pastor Justin Cook reminds us that the things we often put our trust in — our job, money, looks, family, or influence — won’t come through for us when life gets hard.
They’re as helpless as the idols people worshipped in the Old Testament.
They make really bad gods.
Let this truth sink in today. What are you building your life on?

We all live by lists… but what if God gave us the ultimate one?
We love lists — to-do lists, bucket lists, guest lists, even Santa’s nice list. They bring order to the chaos.
So wouldn’t it be amazing if God gave us one too?
Yesterday, Justin Cook began a new series walking through the Ten Commandments — not as outdated rules, but as God’s wise and loving master list for living life the way it was meant to be lived.
He focused on the first three commandments, which all deal with our relationship with God:

Commandment 1: God must be first — nothing else can take His place.
Commandment 2: Don’t create a version of God that fits your preferences. Worship Him on His terms.
Commandment 3: Take God seriously. Reverence isn’t optional.

These three are the foundation. When God isn’t truly first in our lives, everything else eventually lets us down.
Is God actually sitting on the throne of your heart right now… or is He more of a helpful consultant you turn to when you need something?
Drop a 🙏 in the comments and let us know which of these three stood out to you the most.
Full service and message are available on our website, app, and the sermon can be found on the Greentree Together Podcast.

Ben Harris shares how building Lego with his daughters (yes, even a Dark Knight Batmobile) became a powerful picture of the Christian life.

Just like he needs the instruction manual to make all the pieces fit, we need God’s Word as our daily guide.

In Joshua 1, God tells Joshua:

“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

This week’s challenge: Make time in God’s Word every single day.

If you’re not sure where to start, we’d love to help.

Drop a 🙋‍♂️ in the comments if you’re committing to daily time in the Word this week — or tag someone who needs this!

Watch the full message and be encouraged.
