At Village Church Rolesville, we believe church should be a place where every person can encounter Jesus and feel like they belong.
That’s why we’re excited to share that we are in the process of becoming KultureCity Sensory Inclusive™ Certified!
For many individuals with autism, ADHD, PTSD, sensory processing differences, anxiety, dementia, or other invisible disabilities, loud sounds, bright lights, crowded spaces, or unexpected changes can make attending church difficult. We want to remove as many barriers as possible so families can worship, learn, and grow together.
What does this mean for VCR?
✨ Our volunteers and staff will receive specialized sensory inclusion training.
✨ We’ll have sensory tools available to help regulate overwhelming moments.
✨ We’ll designate quiet spaces when someone needs a break.
✨ We’re intentionally creating an environment where families know they are seen, welcomed, and supported.
Jesus made room for everyone and invited people to come just as they are. This is one way we are attempting to do the same.
We’re excited for this next step and can’t wait to continue making VCR a place where every family can confidently say, “There’s a place for us here.” ❤️
