“Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭50‬-‭51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When Jesus said, “It is finished,”
the veil was torn from top to bottom.

Not by man, but by God.

What once separated us
from His presence has been removed.
Now, through the blood of Jesus,
we don’t come timidly, we come boldly.

Access has been granted.
The door is open.
His presence is available!

Hallelujah!

Hyssop — From Passover to the Cross

Passover was never just about Egypt.
It was a message pointing forward to the cross.

📖 In Exodus, a lamb without blemish was slain.
Its blood was applied to the doorposts.
And when the Lord saw the blood…
judgment passed over.

But that night was only a shadow.

The true Lamb was coming.

When Jesus Christ went to the cross,
He became our Passover Lamb.

Not just covering sin—
but taking it away.

📖 “It is finished.”

The same pattern—
but now fulfilled.

The blood was applied, not to wooden doorposts, but to a rugged cross.

And now, by faith, we come under that blood.

Not because we are worthy—
but because He is.

🚪 Passover was the preview.
✝️ The cross was the fulfillment.

And because of Jesus…
judgment still passes over
everyone covered by His blood.

But how is that blood applied?

God already showed us. Not just what saves, but how we receive it.

📖 In Exodus, hyssop applied the blood.
📖 In Psalm 51, David cried, “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean.”
📖 At the cross, hyssop lifted the sponge to Jesus’ lips as He declared, “It is finished.”

Hyssop.

It was not a mighty cedar.
It was not strong, tall, or impressive.

It was small.
Ordinary.
Humble.

Yet it was chosen
to apply the blood.

God chose something humble to apply something holy.

And that is how we must apply the blood of Jesus to our lives, we come humbly.

We don’t come to God in strength,
pride, or self-sufficiency.

We come low.
We come surrendered.
We come aware of our need.

And in our humility, that is how we apply the blood.

Not by striving…
but by surrender.
Not by earning…
but by believing.

🩸 The covering comes
through humble faith.

Father,
Thank You for the Lamb—Jesus Christ—who was slain for me.
Thank You that His blood is enough.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean.
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Apply the blood of Jesus to every area of my life—
my heart, my mind, my past, and my future.

Thank You that I am covered.
Thank You that I am redeemed.
Thank You that it is finished.

In Jesus’ name, amen

Thank you, Jesus for the blood applied. 🙌🏼❤️🙏🏼

Psalms‬ ‭51:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

📖 Exodus‬ ‭12:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.”
‭‭

📖 John‬ ‭19:28-30‬ ‭NKJV
“After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

Smith Wigglesworth (1859–1947) was a British evangelist and one of the most influential figures of the early Pentecostal movement, known for his uncompromising faith in the authority of Scripture and the power of the Holy Spirit. Originally a plumber by trade, Wigglesworth emerged in the early 20th century as a bold preacher of healing, salvation, and Spirit-filled living, insisting that believers must act on God’s Word with fearless obedience. His ministry, marked by dramatic healings and fiery preaching, left a lasting global impact and continues to inspire faith, expectancy, and revival-minded Christianity today.

When Worship Lingers, Chains Break

Spirit-filled worship is often attacked or resisted because it invites the tangible presence of God rather than keeping faith at a safe, intellectual distance. Extended worship breaks control, stretches comfort, and removes predictability, which is threatening to environments built around schedules and highly scripted services rather than dependence on the Holy Spirit. When worship lingers and Spirit-filled songs rise from hunger instead of performance, it creates space for God to move in ways that cannot be planned or contained. This kind of worship exposes dry religion, confronts pride, and bypasses human management, which is why it is often criticized, limited, or dismissed as emotional when it is deeply spiritual.

Yet this is precisely why extended, Spirit-filled worship is essential. When the presence of God is welcomed through surrendered praise, chains begin to break without striving. Worship shifts hearts from survival to surrender and opens the door to real encounters with God. As the Spirit fills the atmosphere, fear lifts, wounds heal, and long-standing patterns lose their power. Spirit-filled songs do more than inspire. They host the presence of God, and where His presence dwells, freedom follows.
