Mid Week Check In ⛪
Think about the last time you chased peace. Maybe it was a job change, a relationship, a vacation, or just a quieter schedule. And for a little while, it worked. Things felt better. But then something shifted, and the peace you worked so hard to find slipped right through your fingers. That is the nature of circumstantial peace. It is real, but it is temporary. It depends on everything around you staying manageable, and life rarely cooperates with that plan.
Jesus offers something completely different. When He spoke to His disciples before the cross, He did not promise them easier circumstances. He promised them peace. Not the kind the world gives, but a peace that holds even when everything around you is falling apart. This kind of peace is not a feeling you manufacture. It is a person you follow. Jesus Himself is your peace. When you are anchored to Him, the storms around you do not have the final word. Your situation at work, your health, your relationships, those things will shift. But Jesus does not shift. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and His peace is just as steady.
If you have been chasing peace in the wrong places, today is a good day to stop running and start following. The peace you are looking for has a name, and His name is Jesus.
Your prayer today:
"Lord, forgive me for chasing peace in places that cannot hold it. Anchor my heart to You, the only source of peace that never runs out. Amen."
