To wrap up our 3 day study of Jesus's birth, whatever day it was, I did this edible craft with Travis.
It's the manger scene, with Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, animals, wise men and their 3 gifts, and oatmeal "grass" around the manger.
He loved it, and perhaps this will be a memory for him. ❤

Tonight, Lucas led the closing song, asked for announcements, and led the closing prayer.
What a wonderful example he is! He is willing to do just anything at church services. ❤

We had a very young guest preacher tonight!
His Bible readings just happened to be the book of Ruth, which really is an important, fascinating study of a devoted daughter in law.
This wasn't a 5 minute talk either. It was a full length presentation.
Good work spreading the Word, Lucas.

We were delighted to have Hart as our guest speaker this morning. He'll be back tonight at 7. Do join us!

Tomorrow morning at 10:00, the youngest class will have a blast from the past!
6 years ago, the children I had in class and I created this book of Job.
I'm looking forward to studying it with my completely different bunch of kids!

Stretch Cunningham, I wanted to share this to the Center Point Church of Christ page and this is the only way I could think of to do it.

I copied this from Will Hester's post on the Northeast Arkansas church of Christ page. While this was such a tragic accident, we can rejoice that this young man had recently put his Lord and Savior on in baptism. We are never promised a tomorrow and must make sure our life is right with God today.

"Please pray for the Smith Family of Osceola church of Christ. Last night Steve (the father and husband) and Lance (the son) died in the tragic Duck accident in Branson, MO. Steve was a deacon at Osceola and I had just baptized Lance, who was 15, late last year. This past Sunday I finally was able to get Lance to do a devotional and break out his shell! Attached is one of the last photos of him I know exists. He was like a son to me and I will miss him greatly. He was the perfect example of humility and compassion! He cared about everyone. My heart breaks, but I know where they are and I know that I will see them again! Again, we ask for prayers of comfort for everyone!"
