A little rain couldn't keep us from celebrating new life in Christ! 7 baptisms. 7 lives being transformed. Their stories were a sweet picture of the Lord working in big and small ways in and through these wonderful people. The skies clearing at sunset felt like a sweet gift to end our time together at the lake.

Stations of Reflection | Good Friday, 3:00-7:00pm
We would love for you to join us for an interactive experience for all ages. You will have an opportunity to walk through a collection of displays representing the events leading up to Jesus' ultimate sacrifice. We will have space available for prayer and communion.

We just started a 4 week series on Witness. We'll be learning about how we can intentionally open our lives to others in love and testify to the good news of Jesus through our words and daily lives.
Each week, we will try to put this into practice. We begin by identifying a few people we care about, who do not follow Jesus, and commit to praying for them daily.
We have a break in the weather today. Go on a walk and pray for the people you have named. Next week, you'll be encouraged to invite them to a meal, but for now, we pray.

Warner temps are coming back our way but the real feel temperatures are forecasted to be low tonight. It's going to be cold out so if you know anybody who needs a warm, safe place, send them our way!
We'll be here offering great food, hot showers, a warm building, and friendly smiles. Check-in starts at 6pm.
A reminder that we open when real feel temperatures drop to 15 or below. If forecast holds, we will be open tonight only.

Scott's dream came true today. He got to hold an official reporter's microphone for an interview on the warming shelter. We wish we had captured his face when that mic came out... Absolute happiness!
It's been a week full of surprises and learning experiences and we are so thankful to be able to open our doors for our neighbors in need during this cold weather.

As we look at the temperatures this week, we have decided to extend our shelter nights and stay open every night through February 1. We still have some availability so if you know anyone who needs a place to stay this week, send them our way!
Transportation is available to and from WayStation Day Shelter.

We will not have service tomorrow, January 25. The shelter will remain open every night through February 1.
Thank you to all who have supported us by spreading the word, sharing resources, and volunteering. We have neighbors who have been able to come and be safe and warm from this storm!

In light of the forecasted winter storm this weekend, the overnight shelter will be open again this weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 6pm to 6am. Temperatures are expected to be very low. Please help us spread the word!

UPDATE: We will also be open tomorrow night (Monday, January 19).
If you know anyone who needs a warm place tonight or tomorrow night, we'll be there!

We'll be open this Saturday and Sunday! Hours are 6pm to 6am and we'll have dinner and showers available.
