Today was a special and memorable day for our Rogers Stake.

This morning, there was an intimate groundbreaking ceremony for the new Rogers Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Gauldin presided, and we were grateful to be joined by the Rogers Stake Presidency, ward and branch leaders, and other members of our stake leadership.

Several speakers shared touching memories and testimonies about the early beginnings of the Rogers Stake, stories of faith, service, and a community that has grown stronger over the years.

President Waddoups shared his experience in searching for the site of the next church building and standing on that ground thinking, “This feels like the place where we want families to gather.” It was a beautiful reminder that this building represents far more than brick and mortar; it represents the people, service, and love that make up our stake family.

A special musical number, “Because,” sung by Sister Rachel Gubler added a sweet spirit to the gathering and made the moment even more meaningful.

We are excited for what lies ahead as construction begins and look forward to the many years of worship, service, and community that will take place here. What a blessing it is to see the Lord’s work continue to grow in Northwest Arkansas.
