At this morning’s 8:30 Mass, Pastoral Associate Logan Feldkamp honored two teens who have been active in Youth Ministry at St. Christopher before they head off to college:

Caitlyn serves as a lector at St. Christopher and teaches kindergarten PSR.

At Magnificat High School, Caitlyn served as a lector, lead the student broadcasting club, and was involved in numerous social justice opportunities. Caitlyn won the Nancy Powell Service Award for exemplary service.

This fall, Caitlyn will attend John Carroll University, where she plans to study Adolescent/Young Adult Education with a focus in History.

Katie has been an altar server since fifth grade.

A talented swimmer, Katie is a four-time state qualifier and a two-time Athletic All-American and Academic All-American. Beyond school and athletics, she regularly volunteers with Youth Challenge, a nonprofit that works with children with disabilities. Katie won the CORE Campus Ministry 4 Year Award.

After graduating from St. Joseph Academy, Katie will attend Xavier University this fall, where she plans to study nursing and compete as a Division I swimmer.

Caitlyn and Katies are both active the St. Christopher Youth Group, J-Walkers.

We are grateful for Caitlyn and Katie’s faith, service, leadership, and dedication to our parish community. We congratulate them on their accomplishments and pray for them as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Father, grant that we may be bearers of Christ Jesus, Your Son.

Allow us to fill the world around us with Your light.

Strengthen us, by Your Holy Spirit, to carry out our mission of living and following the path of Jesus, our Lord.

Help us to understand that by Your grace
our gifts are Your blessings, to be shared with others.

Fill us with Your Spirit of love to give glory to You
in loving all and preaching by our love.

Nourish in us the desire to go forth
