ServeNC Week at Oakdale was a success! ❤️

We want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who gave their time, talents, resources, and willing hands to serve throughout the week. We are so grateful for the way our church family came together to love and serve our community.

Our prayer is that, through every project, conversation, and act of service, our community will be able to see the love of Jesus reflected in us.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ and for helping make ServeNC Week such a blessing! To God be the glory! 🙌

As the Pastor of Oakdale it is encouraging to see our church stepping out to serve our neighbors throughout Nash and Edgecombe Counties.

We have had teams serve desserts to teachers at NECP as they returned to school, another group build a ramp for a homeowner in partnership with NCBAM, we have had a group freshen up the landscaping around West Edgecombe Middle school before they started back. Our J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) welcomed college students back at Wesleyan College and this week we are partnering with Building Shalom to turn a house into a beautiful home for a first time homeowner.

And we still have the medical and dental busses coming Saturday to bring a smile to people's faces and send them home with food from Ripe Revival.

I may have used all my credibility for a while with the church in asking them to do all these projects, but they sure are answering the call and serving in the name of Christ with joyful hearts. Pray that the Lord will send opportunities for our church to be bold with the gospel and faithful to proclaim why they believe Christ called them to make His presence known among our neighbors.
