Today, we had the privilege of serving alongside a partnering church, Cornerstone Baptist Church, as they joined us in seeking the flourishing of our neighbors and neighborhoods—to seek the shalom of our community.
The day began early this morning in The Chapel, where we gathered for prayer, encouragement, and preparation before scattering across the city. A team of 25 volunteers, along with a handful of people from our congregation, spread out to three different sites throughout the community to invest in building up our neighborhoods through acts of service, care, and presence.
We are deeply grateful for their investment, partnership, and willingness to serve. Their contributions have gone far beyond the walls of The Chapel and into the heart of our community, demonstrating the love of Christ in tangible ways and helping us pursue God’s vision of peace, wholeness, and flourishing for our neighbors.
Tomorrow, they’ll be gathering with us in The Chapel at 4:30 PM to get a taste of our Sunday gathering at City Church. We can’t wait to worship together and celebrate what God is doing among us.
