The gospel does what religion cannot.

Religion says, “Look at what I know, what I’ve done, and how I compare.” The gospel says, you have nothing to boast in, only grace to receive.

Religious people want to be impressive. Repentant people are simply thankful that God found them.

Not us getting to God, but God coming to us in Jesus.
