Last summer, I had the privilege to assist in the making of the film; My Brothers' Crossing. After a fumble in the audition process, I was contacted by the crew asking if I would still like to have a small part in the film. I was quite happy to receive this call in which I would still be able to have a part in the telling of this amazing story of forgiveness in a time of hatred.
"My Brothers' Crossing is the true story about a tragic accident that happened in August 2015. In remote southwest Virginia, during the time when we were experiencing riots and racial hate crimes, an African- American man is involved in a horrific accident which claims the lives of Bobby and Pam Clark—a Caucasian couple. What followed was a community rising up, blind to our different heritages, to heal and show incredible forgiveness in the wake of this tragedy." - https://www.amctheatres.com/movies/my-brothers-crossing-64447
I was asked to be a "suit guy" during the Henry County Court House scene. I would play a lawyer for two different women in which I would hang my head after loosing both cases. Upon completion of that night's filming, the director shouted out; "Don't have him as your lawyer", in which I responded with; "I didn't even pass the bar exam so what did you expect?"
It was certainty an experience I will never forget and I could feel the Holy Spirit in the production that day. I was privileged with the opportunity to meet J.T. and Terri Lee Clark who founded the ministry; My Brothers' Crossing. Mr. and Mrs. Clark are a terrific example of two wonderful people who are both devoted to Christ and fulfilling the Great Commission. J.T. and Terri Lee Clark have a book out entitled; "In The Blink Of An Eye: Forgiveness In Black and White” recalling the events leading up, during, and after that tragic day. I was also able to work alongside terrific actors such as Daniel Roebuck, James Black, and Paul Ben-Victor. It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord works through difficult and trying times to shine His Glory in those that love and serve Him.
The film will be released nationwide on July 31st, 2020. This is a must see for the seasoned believer as well as those who are curious as to the events that unfolded in the Clark's lives that led to the Lord's Will that was manifested in unimaginable ways. I'm quite excited for the release of this miraculous, divine story of the Lord's power as well as to how this film impacts the lives of all involved, the Clark's ministry, as well as to the countless others who watch this true and amazing story!
