Piedmont Community Services is working with a 42-year-old female who has spent the last several years rebuilding stability and working toward greater independence. She is currently working two jobs and has remained committed to maintaining employment despite ongoing transportation challenges.
At this time, she relies on others for rides to and from work, which can be inconsistent and stressful. Access to a bicycle would provide reliable transportation, help her maintain employment, and allow her greater independence in meeting daily needs such as grocery shopping and attending appointments. A bicycle with a basket would be especially helpful for carrying groceries and other essentials.
She is also working to improve her overall health and well-being, and having dependable transportation would support both her physical and emotional stability.
Without reliable transportation, she remains at risk for employment disruption, increased financial strain, and setbacks in the progress she has worked hard to achieve.
Requested items include:
-Bicycle
-Basket for bicycle
Providing this support would help strengthen her independence, support continued employment, and reinforce the stability she has worked hard to build. Any assistance would make a meaningful difference.
If you can help, please contact Admin@rm-umc. org.

Piedmont Community Services is working with a 42-year-old male who recently moved into a mobile home after experiencing homelessness for several months. He lives alone, receives disability income, and is working hard to build stability and independence within the community.
While he has been grateful to finally have a place to call home, the transition has also brought significant stress as he works to manage bills, adjust to housing, and furnish his space with limited resources. At this time, his home is mostly furnished, but he is still in need of a couch or small loveseat and a chair for his living room.
Having comfortable seating would help create a more stable and welcoming environment, allowing his house to feel more like a home. These items would also support his ongoing efforts to improve both his mental and physical health by reducing stress and encouraging him to spend time in a safe, supportive environment.
Without this support, he remains at risk for increased stress, worsening mental health symptoms, and difficulty maintaining stability after a long period of housing insecurity.
Requested items include:
-Small couch or loveseat
-Living room chair
-Assistance with delivery of items
Any assistance would help support his continued progress toward stability and independent living. Please contact [email protected].
