Happy Labor Day! 💪🇺🇸
This Labor Day, we honor the dignity of work and the importance of rest. Whether your labor is in a workplace, at home, your church or in the community, it has value and purpose.

Join us in giving thanks for the ability to work, and let's pray for all those seeking employment, facing difficult working conditions, or in need of rest.🙏

📍Note: Our church office is CLOSED today in observance of Labor Day.

Children's Chapel Recap:
We are continuing to learn about Moses, and today's story was about Moses and the burning bush. We wondered together about how Moses felt, why God chose Moses, and heard different perspectives on why God wanted Moses to take off his sandals!
To keep the discussion going, here are some questions you can use to "wonder" together:
- why do you think God commanded Moses to take off his sandals?
-what do you think is Holy?
- How would you feel if you were in Moses's shoes (or sandals)?
- Have you ever had a "burning bush" moment?

Parent's Night Out was a special night for all! Parents dropped off their kids for 3 hours, and got to go out on dates, run errands, and finally catch up on laundry!
We had several wonderful volunteers at the church to help with the childcare. We served a movie-themed dinner, watched a movie, played outside, made crafts, and made friends!

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church is grateful and excited to announce that the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation awarded the parish a $1,700 Nourishing Our Neighbors grant!

This generous grant will support two important ministries of St. Andrew’s: their Food Pantry and Backpack Buddies Programs. Through these ministries, the parish family helps ensure that children and families in our community have access to food when they need it most.

Children's Chapel Recap:
Today we learned the story of baby Moses! We talked about the special plans God had for Moses, and how his mother and sister saved him. We discussed the Pharaoh's daughter's heart and how she took him in and raised him. What a cool life story!
Here are some questions you could ask your child this week to keep the discussion going!
- What is a special way that God could use you?
- Who is someone in your life that watches over you?
- Who is someone you think is brave?
